Unilever Good to Know Baking Challenge Package Giveaway (ends 12/23)

As you know I like to bake during the holidays.  And I bake a lot!  I normally use butter but Unilever challenged me to use one of their soft spreads instead of butter in a recipe to see if I liked it as much if not better!

With a wide variety of soft spreads, including Country Crock, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!, Promise, Brummel & Brown, and Imperial – they have a spread for you.  And best of all, they can say ALL of their spreads are Good to Know because they:

  • Have 0g trans fat per serving
  • Contain no partially hydrogenated oils
  • Have no cholesterol
  • Are 70% less fat than butter per serving
  • Have 30% fewer calories than butter per serving

Unilever sent me a gift basket full of items to help me bake one of their recipes using a spread rather than butter.  I chose the Chocolate Crinkle cookies because I know my family will love them.  I’m baking today so I will share my results with you tomorrow and let you know if I think they were just as good or better than with butter!

Here are a few other recipes they sent me if you are looking to try some new things this year!

Do you use butter or spreads in your baking?

(1) Koupon Karen reader will win a Unilever prize package containing the following items:

  • Silpat®baking sheet liner
  • Steel Cooling Rack
  • Nonstick cookie sheet
  • Stainless steel cookie scoop
