The Channellock VJ-1 tool gift set has two popular tongue & groove pliers, the 422 and the 412 . The 412 V-Jaw Plier is the newest to the Channellock line — the perfect size for smaller jobs at 6.5 inches. Handy dads (and moms) will go nuts for this new tool, which is designed for access to smaller spaces. During the product launch, several DIY-savvy dads found an endless list of uses for the 412. And the 422 is a 9.5-inch V-Jaw tongue & groove plier, which completes the perfect set of tools for any Father.  You can never have too many high-quality, American-made pliers around the house!

Product Name: 412 – 6.5” V-Jaw Tongue and Groove Pliers

Additional Features:

  • Undercut tongue-and-groove design assures no slip jaw action
  • Patented reinforced edge minimizes stress breakage
  • PermaLock® fastener eliminates nut and bolt failures
  • Made from high-carbon C1080 steel for superior quality and performance and contains an electronic coating for rust prevention.
  • Signature CHANNELLOCK BLUE® grips for comfort
  • Made in Meadville, Pa.

Price of product: $13.01

Purchase Information: You can purchase the gift set online at Channellock.com.  Use coupon code CP3Q1 and get 10% off the VJ-1 tool gift set. Coupon code expires on Father’s Day.

My thoughts: My husband isn’t the handiest person I know, but there are times he does pull out his tools to fix things.  Amoung those tools he has some Channellock tools and when I told him we’d be getting the VJ-1tool gift set to review, he was pretty happy.  He already knew that Channllock was a good brand he was looking forward to trying a new tool.

He played around with the V-Jaw Tongue and Groove plyer since it was a size he hadn’t tried before.  He was very impressed with it, he liked how small it was and he knows it will be something that will come in handy from time to time.

I would love to win this for my Dad. He does a lot of stuff around his house, but sometimes “misplaces” tools. Of course, he later finds them, but never when he needs them!

My husband is the hardest working man I know. We have been married for almost 23 years. We have had 7 children. Our youngest child ( 5) is undergoing a 60 week chemotherapeutic treatment for a chronic disease he was born with.He has been so very wonderful and supportive to our son while he has been sick! He helps give him his shots when he is home and cuddles him when the chemo makes him sick. He is the best husband and father anyone could ask for and I would love to win these channellocks for him!

I would love to win this for my son, who is a father, because I think it would help to make his life a little easier, and he deserves it. He gets the children ready for school (Mom works full time),grocery shops, runs errands, does laundry, housework, yardwork, helps with homework, dishes, and then works on weekends when Mom is home with the kids. Both my Daughter-in-law and my Son are wonderful, caring parents who do a super job raising my 2 Grandchildren!
