This post is Sponsored by Good Cook but my opinions are 100% my own!

As part of the Good Cook Kitchen Expert program, they send me tools to use and create recipes with.  These tools are supposed to help cut down on the time to make the recipe so I can be in and out of the kitchen quicker.  Since I’m not a big cook, I like that idea!

This month they sent me a really cool  Avocado Slicer which I’m super excited to have because I love avocado’s but don’t always enjoy cutting them!  They are a bit messy if they are ripe enough so this tool I knew would come in very handy this summer.   One thing I’ve come to really enjoy with my Avocado’s is chicken and turkey so I decided to make up some chicken salad with some avocado’s, cut with my new Avocado slicer, of course!

Ingredients:

Cooked Chicken Breast
Mayo
Avocado
Tomatoes

I mixed together some mayo and a little avocado before hand and then mixed it with the chicken.  After it was mixed I added in some chopped avocado for texture and scooped it into the avocado shell to serve.  I left some avocado in the shell so I could eat it right out of there and get a little extra avocado.  Then I topped it with some chopped up cherry tomatoes from my garden!

Doesn’t that look delicious?  Well it was!  I shared it with my best friend and she agreed it was excellent.

The Avocado slicer worked really well in cutting it into nice wedges.  Then I chopped the wedges into smaller pieces to add to my chicken salad.   But lots of times I just add a wedge to my sandwich so this is a tool I’ll use often in  my kitchen.

Along with the Avocado slicer, they also sent me a juicer and a zester – two tools I know will also come in handy.  They are small yet useful.
