National-Womens-Health-Week

One thing I have been making a priority lately is my health.  This time last year I didn’t realize how precious my health was but then my husband was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and my health is even more important to me now.  We have two small children and they rely on us to take care of them.  All of a sudden my life seems much more precious than it ever did before and in the last couple of months, I’ve been re-examining it and trying to take better care of me too.

Did you know that National Women’s Health Week kicks off on Mother’s Day and runs through May 16th?  It’s the perfect tie for women to start to understand what steps they can take to improve their health. During National Women’s Health Week, Colgate Total® encourages women to stop and take a moment to make their health a priority and put themselves first.

One of the most overlooked small steps you can take to improve your overall health is better oral care habits. Even a small change like switching to a Colgate Total®regimen with Colgate Total®Gum Health Mouthwash can provide advanced gum protection for 45% stronger, healthier gums.

Colgate sent me some of their Total products and I’m adding it to the list of things I’m doing for my health.  I’ve been busy for the last 11 months taking care of my husband and he’s doing well right now,  so it’s my turn.  I made an appointment for a physical, a mammogram, I’ve had my teeth clean, I went to physical therapy to deal with some neck and shoulder issues (just finished that!), I bought a good pair of shoes for walking, I’ve been walking my neighborhood almost every day, and I’ve been eating healthier.  I’m on my way to a better me!

Colgate Total® offers a broad a lot of products that provide a range of oral care benefits. Each product has a formula that helps improve the health of your mouth, to make you confident you are taking control of your oral care.

What are you going to to celebrate National Women’s Health week?
