This past weekend we celebrated Mother’s Day. I’ve been a mom for almost 10 1/2 years now and I have two daughters. Becoming a mom was a huge change and shock to the system. It seems all “flowers and butterflies” before you become a mom, but it’s really not always “Happy and Easy”. Being a mom is a tough job, one of the toughest jobs I’ve ever had, but I wouldn’t change it for the world!

When my oldest daughter was younger, she had a lot of trouble staying dry all night long. She was out of diapers during the day by 2 years old but nighttime was a huge struggle for her. Her sister came along shortly after she turned 2 and we moved her into a big girl bed, a different room and she was no longer the center of attention. But we made sure she never felt slighted so when she started wetting the bed at night, we tried to not make her feel bad about it. Because seriously, she’s just a child and she can’t control it.

I wish we had Pampers UnderJams back then because my friends tell me that they work great and from what I’ve read, they seem like the perfect solution to conquer bed wetting.  Pampers UnderJams have leakage protection that features a NightLock ultra-absorbent core perfect for overnight.  The ComfortWear quiet, cloth-like material is perfect for privacy so if they are older and want to sleep at a friend’s house, no one will even know!   They have a low waist so only your child knows they are wearing them!!

And the best part is you can pick them up at Walmart while your there doing your other shopping. We never made a big deal about her bedwetting so being able to buy them while we were doing our other shopping is key to this! I never wanted her to feel bad about it because the last thing I want to do at such a young age is kill her self-confidence.

I was surprised to learn that Bed wetting is more common than I thought.  Enuresis, which is involuntary urination particularly by children during sleep,  happens more in boys than girls and 15% of children still wet their bed by age 5!

If you find yourself in a similar situation check out PampersUnderJams.com where you can watch videos and read articles with helpful insights from Moms who are leading pediatricians and who have dealt with their own children suffering from bed wetting. Who better to learn from then other moms. We’ve all “been there” at some point or another.
