Product Information:  “Monkey Butt” is the slang term for the soreness, itching, and redness that affects one’s backside as the result of friction and sweat. The founders of Anti Monkey Butt® Powder include a health care professional and a heavy equipment operator/construction worker who are both dedicated dirt bike riders and racers. Over the years they tried a variety of products to prevent “Monkey Butt.” None of the available products however, lived up to their expectations for comfort, relief of soreness or easy availability. In 2003, they decided to develop their own remedy to deal with the condition that had plagued them for years. After several months of testing different formulas, the development team found just the right combination of ingredients and decided to market their creation as Anti Monkey Butt® Powder.

When to Use: While Anti Monkey Butt® Powder is ideal for motorcyclists, racers, and athletes, its soothing treatment can aid any one who has experienced the discomfort and irritation associated with the friction of clothing on skin. Simply apply on the affected area prior to the activity and repeat application as needed to stay comfortable throughout the day.  May also be used inside footwear, under sports pads, and other areas prone to chafing.

Ingredients: Unlike other powders, Anti Monkey Butt® Powder contains calamine and talc which gives it a cooling sensation instead of the burning that you might get from other products. The only other ingredient present in Anti Monkey Butt® Powder is a light fragrance.

Lady Anti Monkey Butt® Powder: Anti Monkey Butt Powder also has a lady – Lady Anti Monkey Butt® Powder. This lightly-scented version still delivers the same great results as regular AMBP, but the calamine is combined with cornstarch (vs. talc) for a more silky, feminine texture.

My Thoughts:  The first time I heard of Anti Monkey Butt I was a little taken back by the name of the product.  It sounded weird and I was embarassed to buy it, so I didn’t.  I had no idea what it was and how  much I’d love it until I received some free products to try out.  And now I’m hooked and I tell everyone I know about anti monkey butt.  They laugh and then ask me what it is.

What I love about it is that it actually works exactly how they say it will work.  It’s a great anti-friction powder that works so much better than regular powder.  We’ve become big fans of it and used it this past summer, a lot!  I do prefer the lady’s version since it is a bit silkier than the regular version but I will use either one.

    My husbands uncle worked in construction and in the summer he used to tell them about monkey butt….so he used that name for the same thing years ago.

    I, too, was a little put-off by the name at first, however, this was a must-have for me when we visited Disney World this year. Put it inside my socks every day, and anywhere else that might chafe. Love it!

    I used Anti Monkey butt powder on our cross country trip to Branson, Missouri in mid July. Temps over 100 every day. It worked great.
