It dawned on me this weekend while food shopping, that I needed to make sure we have food for school lunches (including snacks), breakfast and after school snacks. We sort of ‘wing’ it so much over the summer, that I get out of my normal grocery shopping routine. Does that happen to you?
Find Bonus Box Tops in Walmart Stores for Back To School
I noticed in Walmart that a lot of the General Mills products have Bonus Box Tops right now so you know I grabbed some of those products. The fact that we can earn money for our school and they are products we enjoy, is a double win for me!
Box Tops for Education
Are you familiar with Box Tops? Box Tops are found on General Mills products and are worth $0.10 for your child’s school. It is one of America’s largest school earnings loyalty programs out there. Over 80,000 K-8 schools participate in Box Tops. Is your school one? Mine is! The school receives an actual check so you can use the Box Tops cash to buy whatever your school needs. It’s an amazing program which has contributed over $525 million to participating schools since the launch of the program in 1996.
It doesn’t cost you anything other than a little time. You will pay the same price for the item that has a Box Top on it. All you have to do is clip it and then send it into the school. It really is an easy way to fund-raise for your school.
Right now, participating General Mills products will have 5 box tops on box! That’s $0.50 for your school. We picked up 5 items this week that each had 5 Box tops which means $2.50 for our school. Now while that doesn’t seem like a lot it really does add up quickly. With about 200 families in our school, if each family bought 5 Bonus Box Tops items and sent all the Box Tops into school, the school would raise $500!
What could your school do with an extra $500?
