I thought this week I was going to be WAY under budget but then I went shopping again today to grab a few things and it turned out to be more than a few things. As I walked the aisles I saw more and more things we needed. I cooked a lot this week so we were in need of stuff. That said I did go over budget this week in groceries, but not by that much.
Stop & Shop – I only shopped here again this week, can you tell it’s my regular store? I did make two trips and I am sorry but I don’t have a picture of the 2nd trip only the first one.
Here is what I got:
Total Saved: $10.61
Total Spent: $35.20
Total Saved: $25.28
Total OOP: $62.84
Grand Total Groceries: $133.38
Grand Total Saved: $35.89
Grand Total OOP: $98.04
Total Savings of 27%
My grocery budget is $85 a week so I was over by $13.04. This is the first time I’ve been over by this much. But last week I was under budget by $47.90 and the week before that I was under budget by $44.57 so I think it’s OK for me to be over budget this week. This will probably be the first month that I have so much extra, but we’ll see.
CVS – Once again the only drug store I made it to this week. I really wanted to stop by Walgreen’s, I still haven’t made it to the new one near me. Ever since they stopped their rebate program it doesn’t seem worth going even though they do have some good deals, it’s just not the same. I hope they start a new program soon.
Here is what I got this week. You can see the details of my CVS shopping trip here.
Grand Total at CVS: $98.59
Grand Total Spent at CVS: $10.27
Grand Total Saved at CVS: $88.32
Total Savings of 90%
I actually didn’t even really spend anything at CVS because I am still using a gift card I received for a new prescription.
