I had a GREAT week and a GREAT start to the month. I had a lot to get this week at the grocery store but with really good sales and coupons, I got a LOT for a less! I saved just over 50% at the grocery store this week. I LOVE when that happens! I only shopped CVS this week and paid hardly nothing there too. Like I said it was a good week. In a few days I’ll post my monthly savings report for April too so you can see how I did. I think I did good but I haven’t looked at the numbers yet.
Grocery Stores: I only went to Stop & Shop this week. They had everything I needed and a great sale. I know Shaw’s had some good deals too, but I spent most of my budget at Stop & Shop and there wasn’t really any room for stocking up. Here is what I got:
I needed to take two pictures to fit everything in. Sorry for the poor quality photos, I forgot to change my shutter speed after taking pictures in the dark at the Circus last weekend. They are a little fuzzy.Total: $152.35
Total Saved: $76.67
Total OOP: $76.19
Total Savings of 50%!!
My weekly budget is $85 for grocery so I was under budget by $8.81.

That is a WHOLE lot of savings. I hear of people doing this all the time, but frankly, it seems like a lot of effort and coordination. I’m not sure that I have the time to dedicate to it. The savings sure would be nice though. 🙂 Congrats!

Wow! Great Savings! My 2 favorite places to save money are Walgreeens (I haven’t paid for toothpaste in months!) and for groceries I love my Dillons (an offshoot of Kroger). They have great sales and the best part is they regularly mark down items and when I match the markdowns with coupons I get tremendous savings!
