Truvia

This post is Sponsored by Truvia but my opinions are 100% my own!

With warm-weathered months on mind, Truvia sweetener has launched the “Turning the Town Truvia” campaign in Dallas, Denver and Miami to promote natural, reduced-calorie sweetness.

Through the month of May, consumers can nominate a food service establishment via the Truvia page on Facebook and be entered for a chance to win a $5,000 grand prize. As result, Truvia sweetener may end up on the tabletop of their nominated bars, cafés or restaurants. A $50 Gift Card will also be given to one winner each week

 About Truvia

Truvia sweetener is a natural, zero-calorie sweetener made from the best tasting part of the stevia plant.  Packets are available in 40-ct, 80-ct, and 120-ct boxes, and the Truvia spoonable jar makes it easy to spoon and sprinkle just the right amount into coffee, oatmeal, yogurt or more. The new Truvia Baking Blend, a blend of Truvia sweetener and sugar, is specially formulated for at-home baking and offers 75% fewer calories per serving than sugar.

I love Truvia in my coffee and I buy it all the time.  To me it doesn’t have an aftertaste and is just sweet enough for my coffee.  I love a little bit of sweetener in my coffee and since I’ve been using Truvia (or something like it) I don’t like regular sugar in my coffee anymore.

I hadn’t baked with Truvia before so I was excited to now that I have some of the baking blend on hand.   It says it bakes and browns jut like regular sugar and you only need a 1/2 cup of Truvia for every 1 cup of sugar.   I used it in place of sugar the last time I made chocolate chip cookies and no one knew there was anything different!  I’ve also used it in a few bread recipes and again, no one noticed a difference.   So I’ll keep this in my cupboard for sure and later this year when I make all my holiday cookies, I’ll be using this instead.

Have you tried Truvia Baking Blend yet?  If so what did you think?  I’d love to hear your thoughts.
