Scrapbook post Cards

I love to scrapbook.  It used to be an almost daily thing for me before I had kids.  Of course then I had time but not many pictures to scrapbook.  Now that I have kids, I have no time and lots of pictures.  Isn’t that how it goes?

So now I have a good reason to stop and scrapbook!  I am working with American Crafts to review some of their products including the NEW Valentine’s Day Collection called XOXO.  Cute right?

The first thing I did was make a few cards.  This line is perfect for that!

If you are looking to make some cute and personal Valentine’s Day cards today, then consider grabbing some of the fun goodies that belong in this cute Valentine’s Day Collection from American Crafts because they have everything you need to make cards.

card 1

This one was very easy as I just cut some of the patterned paper and used one of the 3 dimensional stickers as an embellishment and I was done!  Super cute and easy!   I love the 3-d embellishments, they not only give it texture but sparkle too with the little bit of bling!  I love bling on my designs.

Happy Valentine's Day 1

This was another easy one but I used some card stock I had on hand.  I have some paper that is black on one side and white on the other.  I used another one of the 3-D embellishments and placed it in the middle of the card this time.  I liked this one on the black card stock because to me it needed to be simple, just to wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day!  I love the effect of this 3-d embellishment with the staples.  Staples are big in the scrapbook world, it gives it a 3-d look with a little metal to make it edgy!  Love it!!!

This card I did differently by putting the 3-d embellishment inside and cutting out a window on the front of the card.  I did this not only to add more texture but to use the embellishment on the inside and the outside!  This is a fun technique that you can do all the time in making cards.   I also added a strip of patterned paper from this collection on the front to give it more color and to make it POP more!  Plus the hearts on the paper matched the hearts on the embellishment!

You can see from this shot how I used flat stickers inside as well!

What stickers am I referring too?  The remarks stickers that come with this collection are perfect for the inside.

I love, love, love stickers.  Always have, and always will.  Which is probably why I first fell in love with scrapbooking, because I could use stickers!  Plus anything that is red and pink is a favorite of mine so these stickers made me smile when I saw them.

Next week I’ll share with you how I used some products from this line to scrapbook some pictures of my girls.  It’s the perfect line for anything, not just Valentine’s Day!  It fits everyday pictures, especially of those you love!

Disclosure: I received a Free product for review. My opinions are 100% mine.
