My Favorite Easter ham recipe is simple, I don’t like sweet meat, so for me I just prefer it is baked in it’s own juices/water. As long as it isn’t dry, it is good! Love it! So I guess the recipe is just that bake ham in a little bit of water.

I have two favorite ham Recipes One for the main dish the ham the day for Easter.
Maple Sugar is turned into a thick syrup with Corn Syrup and water. It is Basted over the slow cooked Ham now cooking at 400 degrees (Spiral Sliced get’s more of the maple flavor on the ham) every minute for the last 5 minutes of baking time.
Then left overs are used in the following casserole recipe.
1 bag of frozen southern style hash browns
1 can cream of celery soup
1 cup of sour cream
1 8 0z package of Kraft Cheddar blend with a touch of Philadelphia cream cheese
1 sick of margarine or butter melted
1 medium onion coarsely chopped
Fresh Ground pepper to own taste
While potatoes still frozen mix together all the other ingredients in a large bowl
Grease 9×13 glass casserole dish and put mixture in the dish
Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour
Remove from oven
Lay slices of Cooks Leftover ham on top of the dish and add another 4 ounces of Additional cheese blend and bake 30 more minutes until cheese is bubbly and brown.
Sara says
my favortie recipe is what I grew up on,my mamas made the best ham,and that is the recipe I use,it so yummy.
Pin pineapple slices onto ham with tooth picks, and put a few whole cloves studs(you have to push them in,then make a few x’s in the ham with a knife(don’t go to deep),then brush and baste your ham with brownsugar&butter while it bakes.
Tiffiany says
First I brine the ham in Ginger Ale overnight in the fridge,(remember to poke some holes in it) don’t add salt because usually hams are already smoky/salty.
Take out ham , pre-heat oven, score ham and and a few cloves, pour apricot/ pineapple jelly over ham, as much or little as you like for sweetness. Cook as directed for ham (size etc.)
Serve with a “smoky mustard” to cut the sweetness. and of course lots of garlic mashed potatoes.
” But my favorite part is when it’s sitting in the fridge at 1am and I need a little morning snack . OH YUM! 🙂
Terri Dobbs says

My favorite Easter ham recipe is ultra-simple.
Leave it in its cyro-wrap and put it in the top rack of the dishwasher. Do not add soap and have nothing else in the dishwasher. Run a full hot cycle.
Remove, apply your favorite glaze, and bake in a slow oven until the glaze sets.
This gently heats the ham with moist heat, not drying it out.
*So far, I have only tried this with a brand of ham called Beeler’s. Their packaging is super thick, so YMMV with other packaging possibly melting.*

I like it simple. Just roast it in the crockpot until heated through.

I love a good honey baked ham! Baked slow, then glazed with a sweet honey and brown sugar glaze. Delicious!
