Mother’s Day is over but that doesn’t mean that mom’s shouldn’t still be recognized for all their hard work and efforts.  Lets face it ladies, you and I both know that we hold the household together.  Yes, my husband helps out and Yes he does go to work all day to earn a paycheck to make sure we have what we need as a family BUT who thinks about doing the grocery shopping, making sure the kids lunches are made, their homework done, they have shoes and clothes that fit?  I do!  And who keeps the house in order, does the laundry (yes he does help me with it but he doesn’t do it all!) and put food on the table almost every night (except those days he grills) – I do!

As a mom my day never ends, even when I’m sleeping my mind is racing about what I have to do the next day.  And I know I’m not alone.  Now I’m not saying their aren’t men that do all these things but most mom’s I know are the ones doing it all.  So I think honoring mom’s is something that should be done more than once a year in May!

Who’s with me here???

Throughout the month of May, in recognition of moms who do extraordinary things every day for their families and communities, Dollar General® is teaming up with Procter & Gamble® to honor moms – the true Every Day Heroes who have made sacrifices for their families and their communities.  To celebrate moms, Dollar General is inviting customers to upload videos describing why their moms are “Every Day Heroes.” Videos can be submitted and viewed at www.dollargeneral.com/everydayheroes.

Will you upload a video of you and your mom?  Let me know if you do!
