I love Easter and I have fond memories of Easter from when I was a child. I remember my mother used to make matching outfits for my brother and I. I also remember one year getting a basket full of loose wrapped candy. Maybe there were chocolate covered eggs, I don’t remember exactly but I do remember that basket. I also remember looking for eggs in our house and finding a few a couple of days later that we missed! And I remember the pretty hats my mom would always get for me and going to church as a family.
I love these memories!
My husband and I try to make wonderful memories for our girls with every holiday and Easter is one of them. They love the anticipation of the day and coloring eggs. Then there is the big Easter Egg hunt in the morning. Our Easter Bunny leaves us plastic eggs scattered throughout the yard filled with candy and coins!! It’s really a lot of fun.
The girls each get an Easter Basket filled with some fun toys and games and of course Chocolate! Our Easter Bunny likes Hershey so most of it is Hershey Chocolate, which works well because mommy and daddy also like Hershey Chocolate. It really is the best!
I had the opportunity again this year to Hop on Down the Hershey’ Bunny Trial and create a basket of some of my families favorite goodies from Hershey. Our basket arrived last week and the girls were thrilled with its contents.
What fun things do you do for Easter? What memories do you have?

I love outside Easter egg hunts (when possible). So many places to hide them. We use the plastic eggs for outside and keep the dyed eggs in the fridge.
We have egg hunts, Easter dinner, and we dye eggs.
I like Hershey’s when it comes to Easter candy. Though I do like the occasional Cadbury creme egg, Hersheys chocolates are what I connect with the Easter Egg hunts I participated in while I was growing up. I liked that the mini-sized Hershey brand chocolates were perfect to fit into the small eggs. I didn’t receive as many Easter baskets, but when I did, I was always thrilled to find small items that I could play with and more excitingly, the chocolate bunnies! Those bunnies took several weeks to go away, because I was rewarded with a piece after dinner every night, but they really were yummy as I can remember quite vividly.
We love having Easter egg hunts for the grandkids!
I remember Dressing in dresses that my mother made us, attending church services, Easter egg hunt afterwards at home(either inside or out depending on weather), a small Easter basket, and family over for Easter dinner. We also dyed eggs the day prior and had them for breakfast.
For my children, we continued Easter basket and Egg hunt (coins and some chocolate). Last year we did an Easter egg hunt with our town and the kids had a blast! Happy Easter!
Loved wearing new easter clothes on Sunday Morning.
