Each year I attend BlogHer in August.  Well at least for the past 3 years I have.  It’s a great opportunity to meet with other blogger’s I’ve either worked with or admired from afar and a fantastic opportunity to connect with the brands or brand reps I’ve worked with or want to work with.  Because I’ve been blogging for 4 years now, I know a lot of them already but haven’t met them all in person just yet.

This trip I was able to meet some representatives from Pepperidge Farm at the Trumpeting Media Event that I attended on Thursday morning during my 5 days in NYC.  This is one company I haven’t worked with yet and I hope to begin working with soon!  I was very excited to see them as it was the morning time and I hadn’t quite had much breakfast,  so that meant I could have cookies for breakfast.  I mean after all they are there for us to taste so I would hate to offend them by not tasting them, right?

Could you resist this??

While enjoying some yummy Milano cookies I chatted with them about how if I buy a package of Pepperidge Farm cookies, I tend to hide them from my family and eat them all myself.   But I figure I deserve to since I’m the one who does all the buying and putting away of goodies so it’s my reward.

Pepperidge Farm has a new Milano Slices cookie coming out for the holidays and they gave us each a bag to take home.  They have bits and pieces of mint candy on them.  These aren’t on the market yet nor do they even have a package made for them as we received a white package with no picture… that’s how new they are.  So you’ll have to wait a little longer to try them but believe me when I say this – they are really good!  So keep your eyes out for them in stores soon.  And for full disclosure, no I have not share them with my family.   I may consider offering the last one up, but I haven’t decided yet.  There are still a few more left.

Disclosure: I received some free samples from the sponsors of Trumpeting Media for attending the event while in NYC, including a bag of Pepperidge Farm cookies.  I will be entered into a drawing for posting about my time there.  This had no influence on what I wrote.  My thoughts, opinions and words are 100% my own.
