I’m so glad my husband’s company pays for his cell phone because I can’t believe how much it can cost to have a few in the house.  Though my kids are small and don’t have cell phones yet, I know plenty of people who have families of 4 or more that each have a cell phone. I don’t know how they afford it.  Well at least I didn’t until I heard about TracFone, which I think is awesome for a family of cell phone users.

I’m told that they have the least expensive way to own a cell phone.  I’m starting to believe it since there are no contracts, no activation charges AND no cancelation fees. Just those fees are crazy enough!  I’ve been told by several people that they have great nationwide coverage and excellent reception.  One of my mother’s friends has never had a problem with her coverage!

There are lots of fancy phones now and I have one myself, but you’d think that only the big networks would offer them, right? NOPE TracFone also has brand name phones like Motorola, LG, Nokia and Samsung with So many features.  They also have simple phones if that’s what you want.

You don’t need a monthly plan, you can just pay as you go online or with cards that you can get at thousands of retailers all over the US.  That’s nice and convenient.  Of course you can purchase other services but you only pay for what you want, which is pretty cool when you have a lot of phones in your household.  Then you can control how much they all cost.

But if you want monthly plans they have them for as little as $9.99 a month for 50 minutes…. perfect for an emergency phone.

So what do you think?? Have you used TracFone?  Would you try it out? I’d love to hear your thougths.
