Do you have a crazy morning routine?  We sure do, but not for much longer.  We have 3 weeks left for school here and then we will be moving to a new home. So our morning routine is going to change in a few weeks to something less hectic – and I welcome it!

Right now it's pretty crazy for us in the morning. I have two small children, one is in 1st grade and the bus comes for her at 8am.  The younger one goes to pre-school 3 days a week and she has to be there at 9am. I drive her to pre-school.  Thankfully they both are good about getting dressed themselves along with getting their teethbrushed and shoes on.  But I make them breakfast everyday and my younger one never knows what she wants.  That can make my morning pretty crazy.

How is your morning routine?  Do you start off your day with Orange Juice?  We do sometimes, but not every morning.  Orange Juice is a treat in our house because the acid in it upsets my oldest daughter's stomach but she still loves it the same.  One brand we buy occasionally, when its on sale of course, is Florida Orange Juice.  We like it with none – to little pulp and we can normally catch a deal on it when we are looking for it.

Orange Juice is a great addition to breakfast because it's packed with vitamins.  Did you know that one 8‐ounce serving of 100 percent orange juice is a good source of potassium and folate and an excellent source of vitamin C.  It sure is and these are three important nutrients that are under consumed in the United States, according to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

As a busy mome, I like knowing that Orange Juice is a great way for my kids to get the things their body needs, and it's something they love to drink.  If nutrition for your family is a stuggle due to the lack of time in your day, try these tips from Kathleen Zelman, MPH, RD to help you find a way…

  • Jumpstart your morning with a nutritious meal that includes protein, fruit and energizing nutrient-dense carbs.·
  • When looking for a snack, think outside the box before trying to satisfy your cravings from roadside convenience stores or airport kiosks.
  • Outdoor grilling and dining is a great way for your family and friends to enjoy the warmer weather.
