A recent trend has seen fast food and frozen food brands touting quick, low-calorie breakfast sandwiches. With just a little more time spent, you can make smart and easy breakfast choices where you know every ingredient that goes into starting your day.

With these simple ingredients, you’ll be surprised at how easy it is to get the right amount of fiber and protein in your first meal of the day.

Here is a recipe for a delicious breakfast that you can make at home and take to eat at work or where ever your final destination is.  And it’s super quick to prepare.

Egg and Prosciutto Sandwich

1 Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat Sandwich Thins Rolls 100% Whole Wheat Roll
1 oz. low-fat Swiss sliced cheese
1 oz. prosciutto
3 fresh basil leaves
¼ red onion, thinly sliced
1 egg, fried

On the bottom half of the Sandwich Thins roll, place ingredients in the following order – Swiss cheese, prosciutto, basil, red onions and egg. Place the top half of the roll on top and enjoy!

Doesn’t that look delicious.  I love the Arnold Sandwich Thins and keep them on hand almost all the time.  I’m watching what I eat and only eating whole wheat bread so these are perfect for me and they are so good.  The girls like them too and we make PB&J on them all the time!  I’ve even used the sandwich thins with a hamburger and they are awesome!!!

What would you put inside your sandwich?
