Disclosure: This post is part of an all expenses paid press trip to Los Angeles provided by Disney.  All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.  All giggles and squeals will also belong to me while attending these events in LA!

There is a new Disney movie hitting the theaters this week.   And it’s for he entire family, but it’s not a cartoon.  I’m talking about Million Dollar Arm and I had the chance to attend the premiere in Hollywood at the El Capitan Theatre on Tuesday night along with 24 other bloggers.  Since the sub-story of this movie is Baseball, the red carpet event was actually green (like AstroTurf) and the party was a tail gating party with food from Subway, Pink’s Hot Dogs, Kind Bars, Krispy Kreme and Wonderful pistachios.  It was an a-m-a-z-i-n-g night and I still think it was all a dream!

But before the fun of the premiere began, they held a Million Dollar Arm pitching contest.  Pretty fitting for the movie, don’t you think?  They held tryouts beforehand and then Delta flew in the finalists to all compete for $1,000,000!  All they had to do was throw a 100 mph pitch!  Pretty easy considering some of them did it during tryouts.   In the end no one won the $1,000,000 but Josh Dahl (from Glendale, Arizona) had the fastest pitch at 94.9 mph and while he didn’t earn the big prize, he is going to work with the real JB Bernstein and his management company, Seven Figures Management.

See all of the excitement in the background?  Being on the green carpet is an amazing experience that I’m very grateful to have done twice now!

After the pitching contest we mingled with other guests, including celebrities from the movie and they were all so friendly and open to having us there.

We also feasted on tailgating food and had the chance to see how fast we could throw the ball.  I never got to the pitching cage because there was always a line, but I did get a chance to have a Pink’s Hot Dog, which I had never had before.  It was delicious!  I hear they are pretty famous on the West Coast so if you live near one, try it!

Million Dollar Arm is a film based the true story of sports agent JB Bernstein who traveled to India and discovered Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel through the Million Dollar Arm pitching contest.  It’s a great family movie that will make you cry, make you laugh and at the end you’ll feel so proud!  The message of the movie is to follow your goals and that you can do anything you want to, is a great message that needs to be said and heard.  It’s amazingly inspiring and I highly recommend you take your entire family to see it!

Before we hit the premiere party, we came across the Oscar steps that lead up to the Dolby Theater!  We posed to take a group picture and some individual pictures.  That was pretty cool to see in person!!  Above I’m with Aly from TheMichiganMom.com and Mary Jo from TheMommers.com.
