MobiGo 2 has the same great touch screen play as the original MobiGo, and now offers a motion sensor and microphone, adding two new features for kids to explore. Now kids have four ways to play with their MobiGo2: the touch screen, the keyboard, the motion sensor, and the microphone. There are many built-in and downloadable apps that include e-books, coloring books, an art studio, a photo album and more.

Features

  • Four different modes of playing: Motion, touchscreen, microphone and slide-out keyboard
  • QWERTY keyboard helps kids become familiar with a keyboard layout
  • Toy can also function as an e-reader, photo album, photo viewer and art studio and coloring book
  • Large library of downloadable games and e-books are available online at the Learning Lodge
  • Comes with three great games that take advantage of all the MobiGo’s cool features

My Thoughts: The thing I was the most concerned about with the new MobiGo was if the cartridges from the first MobiGo would fit into the new one – and guess what?- They do!! That would have been a HUGE disappointment with me because that would have made the upgrade to the new one, completely wasteful!

It comes pre-loaded with 3 games which is great and you don’t have to have the previous version to be able to use this one. So if you don’t own any games from the previous MobiGo, you’re all set for a while.

One game that comes pre-loaded is the Hamster Highway and it utilizes the motion mode that this new one has. You move the game side to side to made the hamster roll along the path, turn and grab extra points. It’s cute and the girls loved the motion play.

The game is shaped well to be held by little hands. It has grips on the side that help it from sliding out of their hands as well, which with little ones is a big plus. However, even if it’s dropped, they made this pretty durable so it’ll survive more often than not.

I like the microphone which is a new addition and I know my girls will have fun with that. It’s located right in front so they’ll be able to record very easily.

I’m disappointed that the number keys don’t have their own row. I personally hate when I have to share the upper keys with numbers and had a phone like that once. I think it would be very confusing for a small child to know how to access the numbers. My girls got it right away and weren’t even bothered by it so perhaps it’s a mother thing.

Overall we are pleased with the new MobiGo and I’m sure we’ll be adding some new games to their collection. I’m excited to see how the new games will use the newer features.

Disclosure: I received a Free product for review. My opinions are 100% mine.
