Morton Salt Gift Pack Review & Giveaway ENDED

I was very excited to receive a nice gift pack from Morton Salt with all sorts of goodies to try out. Morton’s doesn’t just make salt, they have a variety of seasonings as well. Once I received my package I headed on over the the Morton website to get some recipe ideas.

One product that was included in my gift pack was Morton’s Nature’s Seasoning and I found this recipe for Salsa that included the Nature’s Seasoning…

Fresh Vegetable Salsa – (Prep Time: 10 minutes, Servings: 3 cups)

Ingredients:
1 cup chopped mixed sweet peppers (green, red and yellow)
1 cup chopped fresh tomatoes
3/4 cup thinly sliced leeks
2 tablespoons drained capers
4 large mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon Morton® Nature’s Seasons® Seasoning Blend
2 tablespoons lime juice

Directions: Combine all ingredients. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.

I love Salsa and this recipe was a bit different than I usually make… mushrooms and capers?? Well let me tell you it was so yummy! Great for a Superbowl party. I served it with nachos, but also with crackers. SO GOOD! The Nature’s Seasons Seasoning Blend gave it a nice flavor.

We also received some Kosher Salt. At Christmas we make a roast so I decided to make a rub of Kosher Salt and Course Black Pepper. It was perfect! And then we made some Margarita’s and used the Kosher Salt too! Those were awesome too!

I regularly use the kosher salt. In all types of cooking (except for baking). I also like the hot salt. It goes well on baked beans, tuna salad, green salads, and chili. this would be a really good gift. Thanks for having it.

My doctor ordered some DM2 medication which tended to retain fluid, and he recommended I use less salt. I now use a diferent medication, but kept using the Morton Lite Salt , and I am happy with it!

My favorite product is/was the hot salt- I love salty and spicy, so seemed like the perfect thing for me. Unfortunately, after it ran out I never found it again. So sad.

My favorite product is the sea salt because it stands up to cooking unlike normal table salt and it takes less when cooking than normal table salt (it also tastes yummy).
