Schwan’s Baked Ziti Review & Giveaway ENDED

Product Information: Put the spatula down and let us do the cooking for your family this Friday night. Why? Because when the week is almost over the last thing you want to think about is preparing dinner for the family, as you do night in and out! Well, we have good news: Schwan’s Home Service gives you a break in the kitchen, with entrees, sides and desserts all ready in minutes!

The new Baked Ziti joins their popular line of family style Italian cuisine, Fresco by Scotto. This delicious Scotto family recipe is a rich combination of three cheeses (Ricotta, Mozzarella and Parmesan) baked with ziti pasta and a flavorful tomato sauce that is ready in 30 minutes.

My Thoughts: I am Italian and very particular about the sauce I eat so when it comes to frozen pasta, I’m always looking for one that I truly enjoy.  So I was excited to try the Baked Ziti from Schwan’s.  Everything arrived completely frozen and with dry ice.  I immediately put it in the freezer until we were ready for our meal.   The night I decided to cook this was one of those days where we were so busy and the thought of cooking a meal didn’t sound to good to me so I knew it was a perfect night for the Schwan’s meal sitting in my fridge.

The ziti was extremely easy to cook because I didn’t even have to transfer it to another pan.  It cooked right in the container it came in.  And it was done in 30 minutes.  I steamed the broccoli in the microwave and tossed the 3 cheese garlic bread in the oven.  Everything smelled SO GOOD.

We sat to eat and my husband was pretty impressed with what I pulled together so I told him that I couldn’t really take credit for it but if it was really good, then I would! lol  So we ate the Ziti and Garlic Bread and Oh. My. Goodness.  It was sooooooo good.  The ziti was creamy and the tomato sauce was so good.  It tasted like fresh tomatoes, something my Italian mom would make!  And the 3 cheese garlic bread, well I can’t tell you how awesome that was too.

Now it was onto dessert.  Schwan’s accidentally sent me chocolate ice cream AND sherbet ice cream and both were well accepted in my house.  The chocolate was so creamy and yummy that it didn’t last very long.  My 3 year old was in heaven as was I.  The sherbet is my 6 year olds favorite and we still have a little left and she’s going to be sad when it’s gone.

The meal was fantastic and  my husband told me I could surly buy it again without hesitation.  Trust me, that tells you it was good!
