Product Name: Smucker’s Uncrustables

I have a funny story about Smucker’s Uncrustables I want to share with  you.  My father is not a “convenience food” eater.  In other words he won’t run into a store and buy something pre-made unless it’s fresh.  And my mother cooks most stuff from scratch.   We were (unfortunately) at a funeral for a family member last summer and my father stayed the entire time with the rest of us.  My mother packed a cooler so they’d have something to eat while there.   In the  meantime one of my younger cousins had some food she needed to keep cool so she put it in my mother’s cooler.  One of those things just happened to be Smucker’s Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly Uncrustables.

When my father got hungry he went out to the car and saw the Uncrustable and decided to give it a try.  He figured my mother packed it for him.  He LOVED it!  Later when my cousin was looking for it he realized he ate her snack and though he felt bad, he still couldn’t stop talking about how much he loved it!

Well needless to say when ever I go in my mother’s freezer now, there is always a box of Uncrustables there for my dad.  And he loves that they can grab one in the morning and by the time he wants to eat it, it’s all thawed.  Perfect for on the go.   Which leads me to my next point………… school’s back in session and these are great to toss into the kids lunch in the morning, straight from the freezer and by lunch time they are all ready to eat!  It’s that simple.

Now I  know you could easily make this and spend a lot less than buying them already made, but it’s the convenience of it.

Mom Central sent my family a coupon for a FREE box of Smucker’s Uncrustables and since I’ve already tried the Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly before, I decided to pick up the grilled cheese.  My youngest loves grilled cheese so I thought these would be great for a quick bite to eat.    At first she didn’t want to try it, but as it sat on her plate she decided what the heck, why not.  And she really enjoyed it.  Now she asks for the grilled cheese from the freezer!
