Product Name: The Switch on DVD & Blu-ray

Product Description: Friendship, fertility and family take a funny new turn in The Switch, a “winning comedy” (Washington Post) starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman, arrived on DVD, Blu-ray Disc, Digital Download and On Demand this month from Lionsgate. Aniston and Bateman deliver heart-warming performances as best friends navigating romance…and a maternity mix-up in the modern age in this “laugh out loud funny” (CBS Radio) offbeat comedy from the producers of Little Miss Sunshine and Juno. The DVD and Blu-ray Disc include deleted scenes and a “making of” featurette, “The Switch Conceived,” while the Blu-ray Disc offers additional deleted scenes and an alternate ending, both with introductions from the directors plus cast bloopers from the set. The Switch, a Miramax film also featuring Jeff Goldblum, Juliette Lewis and Patrick Wilson, arrived on March 15, 2011.

Kassie (Aniston) is a smart, fun-loving single woman who, despite her neurotic best friend Wally’s (Bateman) objections, decides it’s time to have a baby – even if it means doing it herself…with a little help from a charming sperm donor (Wilson). But, unbeknownst to her, Kassie’s plans go awry because of a last-minute switch that isn’t discovered until seven years later…when Wally gets acquainted with Kassie’s cute – though slightly neurotic – son.

My thoughts: I’ve always loved Jason Bateman and he didn’t disappoint me in this film. And boy, the older he gets the more handsome he gets!  I loved the movie.  I loved Jason’s neurotic character and the scene that lead to him switching the samples was so funny.  I also enjoyed how he slowly figured out that he really was the father.  It was fun movie to watch.

I also enjoyed the extra’s on the blu-ray including the alternate ending.  But I’m so glad they ended it the way they did.  They said they changed the ending because they wanted to show all the characters in the final scene not to leave anyone hanging and I really like that one so much better than the alternate ending.  Good choice.  And the blopper’s were a good laugh!  I always love watching them.
