I received a box of Macaroni Grill Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken & Pasta and a box of Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken from My Blog Spark for review.   I’ve never tried either one before so I was excited to make them.  My husband and I don’t get to have dinner without the children very often, well actually never at home at least so I decided to make a “date night” for the 4 of us and make one of these dinners.

We pulled out the pretty table cloth that we use for holidays and even found some candles for the center piece, like we were in a restaurant.  The girls got a kick out of doing this (and we will do it again!).  And I will admit, it was kind of fun.  It made dinner more special rather than  just something we do every day when my husband gets home from work.

We LOVED the Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken.  It had amazing flavor and I truly felt like I was eating at a restaurant!  My husband really enjoyed it to and has asked for it since we had it that night.   And it was super simple to make.   There were a few steps involved but it took no time at all.  We haven’t tried the Orange Chicken yet, but the girls keep asking me to make it so we can all have our “date night” again!
