Try the NEW Taste of Nature® Organic Snack Bars #GlutenFree {Giveaway}

by Karen Mendes | Giveaways, Product Review | 2 Comments

This post is Sponsored by Taste of Nature® but my opinions are 100% my own! We tried a new snack recently - Taste of Nature® Organic snack bars and to be very honest, my kids were hesitant to try them because in their words 'they looked funny'. The snack bars they normally eat are made with lots of oats and these looked nothing like them. But I urged them to at least take a bite then make the decision on whether they liked them or not. Since they love nuts and berries and trail mix so I knew they would like this. Of course I was right. First we all tried the Persian Pomegranate Garden and it was amazingly delicious! It basically was like eating trail mix but only in a bar and much...

by Karen Mendes | Disney News | 4 Comments

Do You Wanna Build a Snowman? {behind the scenes look at the recording of this song} So do you know all the lyrics to every single song from Frozen? If you do please raise your hand. {My hand is raised very high, can you see it?} My girls are obsessed with the movie and the music. But I will admit, the music is beautiful and I do love it too. And my husband questions what's going on when he doesn't hear it at least once a day! We picked up the CD right after we saw the movie and my girls were happy to see that the lyrics to the songs came with it. Perfect! Within 2 hours they had them all memorized. But what they found very interesting, was all the different girls that sang some of...

This post is Sponsored by Evologie but my opinions are 100% my own! I'm excited to give you the chance to Win an Evology® Clear Skin Kit! My skin has always been a top priority to me. Perhaps because it was pretty easy to take care of it. At least for me it was. My brother has bad acne when we were teens and I surly didn't want the same thing. So when he started breaking out, I started taking action on my own skin and I was younger than him! Plus my mother always had beautiful skin and still does so I wanted what she had. So at an early age I started washing it properly every night and morning and even used face cream. I also made sure I used sunscreen when out in the sun. And now...

My Plans for Spring Projects {while the snow falls outside}

by Karen Mendes | DIY | 6 Comments

It's still very cold here in New England, which is expected in January but I'm trying to think warm thoughts as much as I can. It's going to snow again this week, starting later today. Again, I realize that I live in New England and we do get snow, but we never know how much to expect and some years we get next to none. I hate to wish away the months but I'm really looking forward to spring. I'm putting together a Spring To-Do list and I have two big projects on my list. I will be sharing both of these DIY projects on my blog. But before I begin, I need to do my research because while they may not be big projects for some, they sure are for me! (Any tips are greatly appreciated!)...
