This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #SummerYum #CollectiveBias I love that the 4th of July lands on a weekend this year!!  We love celebrating with our neighborhood friends and we usually all get together for a pot luck day in my backyard, since we have the pool.  I love seeing all the kids just enjoying themselves, jumping in and out of the pool, having a GREAT time. My camera is on overload those days trying to catch the perfect jump as they count down and jump in the pool.  Every year it gets more and more fun.  Since we entertain a lot in the summer (having the pool makes us pretty popular with our friends!) we are...

NEW Entenmann’s Little Bites S’mores {Giveaway}

NEW Entenmann’s Little Bites S’mores {Giveaway}

by | , , | 5 Comments

This post is Sponsored by Entenmann's but my opinions are 100% my own! School is out this week which means summer is officially here!  Ever since I was a kid certain things make me think of summer - foods, places, events, activities.  School being out always meant summer to me.  Along with going to the beach, swimming in a pool and cooking on the grill.  But I will admit, even as an adult, I get giddy for those summertime desserts that we enjoy - one being S'mores! My girls love making S'mores as much as I do.  We like to experiment with different chocolates too and haven't found something we don't like yet.  I mean melted marshmallow + chocolate + graham crackers = Yummy Goodness!...

When the Tooth Fairy Forgets | “Why didn’t the Tooth Fairy Come, Mommy?”

When the Tooth Fairy Forgets | “Why didn’t the Tooth Fairy Come, Mommy?”

by | | 6 Comments

As you know I have two children, both girls ages 10 and 8.  While my 10-year-old is pretty much all done loosing teeth, my 8-year-old has just begun.  She lost her 5th tooth three days ago and honestly the only reason I remember how many she's lost, is I counted them last night as I put the 5th one in her "hide away stash". If you read over that last paragraph fast, you may not have noticed I said she "lost her 5th tooth three days ago" and "I counted them last night".   Shouldn't that have happened two nights ago?  Um.. yes if the tooth fairy actually remembered to come! When the Tooth Fairy Forgets Two mornings ago when my 8-year-old woke up she was in a very bad mood.  This isn't all...

4 Simple Steps to House Train a Puppy

4 Simple Steps to House Train a Puppy

by | | 0 Comments

  Since becoming a pet owner, I've learned more than I thought I would!  I'll be doing a series of pet posts this summer to help those of you who are struggling with a puppy or just a new dog. One thing I had no idea how to do when we got Max was how to house-train a puppy.  He was only 9 weeks old and barely trained.  I had successfully trained both my girls as toddlers, but a puppy was a completely different thing!  I wasn't putting a diaper on him. House training a puppy can be easy and humane when you follow a few simple steps.  But you must be consistent.  Make sure your puppy is at least 8 weeks old.  They shouldn't be taken from their mother much younger than 8 weeks old.  This...
