Summer has been super crazy for both myself and Jen from  Savor The Thyme so we haven't been able to bring you this each week.  This week we are using my savings from last week since I saved so much and we didn't get anything together in time.  But I stocked up on some Scott products and saved over $16 at CVS! I've been unable to shop with Jen from  Savor The Thyme since my move now that we are further away but I did manage to get to CVS this week and had some nice savings!  I took advantage of their sale on Soda this week because we have a lot of people over during the summer so I like to stock up for those events.  I saved $30.97 this week with my coupons, sales and Extra Bucks.  So Jen had lots of wiggle room to plan a menu. Jen from  Savor The Thyme and I went shopping again this week and she scored some really good deals.  I'm so proud of her with how well she's been using her coupons and Extra Bucks.  She saved about $30 this week and stocked up on bar soap (which we both learned that our husbands still insist on using), shampoo, oatmeal bath (for all those bug bites the little ones get!) and she was able to get that cool Yellow Nail Polish she wanted! But she used all her Extra Bucks and didn't get any back in return so next week is going to be a big challenge for her! Once again this week I had to shop separately from Jen from  Savor The Thyme because we are both very busy with our families but I was able to snag a few items we needed (grocery items actually!) and save $8.03 doing so! Here is what I got... I've had a really busy week already so Jen from  Savor The Thyme had to venture into CVS without me this week.  However, she's learned a lot in the past weeks shopping with me so I had faith that she'd do a good job --- and guess what?  She did!  She only need a couple of things and she used her ExtraBucks from last week to roll into this week which I'm so proud of her for doing! I don't have the exact breakdown but I know she bought the Colgate 360 toothbrush and Act Rinse.  She paid under $3 out of pocket and saved $8.00! I stocked up on a couple of things at CVS this week while shopping with Jen from  Savor The Thyme.  I took advantage of the Extra Bucks savings on the FINISH dishwashing detergent and the Life Savers.  Needless to say I have enough of both to last me a long time!  However, I spent under $10 out of my pocket because I rolled the ExtraBucks I've been accumulating and used coupons.  I did have to go to a few stores as no one had a lot of stock of the Finish so I purchased all 6 at three different stores. This week I didn't need anything at CVS but my friend Jen from  Savor The Thyme picked up a few things.  She had some ExtraBucks Rewards from last week and she need two items that we not on sale so she decided this was a good time to get them.  Her husband has certain brands he likes to use which she ran out of and needed this week so it's a good example of when to use your ExtraBucks Rewards - on items you need NOW but are not on sale and you many not have coupons for. She was looking to purchase Arm & Hammer Toothpaste and she could only find a coupon for $1 off THREE which she didn't want to use because purchasing THREE at full price with only saving $1.00 isn't always the best...
