Quick Italian Chicken Noodle Veggie Soup Recipe and a Good Cook Contest Announcement #KitchenDrawerContest

This post is sponsored by Good Cook but my opinions are 100% my own! If you cook then you probably have some favorite tools in your kitchen that you use most often. I sure do and so does my husband. It's funny because our favorite tools aren't all the same. But then again, we both have things we cook all the time and those aren't the same either. If one of my favorite tools isn't available to use, I don't feel comfortable cooking. Funny how we get into a grove with certain things. That being said, I'm always open to trying new items, and sometimes find more favorite tools!  This is good because Good Cook sent me 5 items that they feel are essential in every kitchen. They asked me to make a...

Have Fun with the Sweet Creations Bake-A-Bowl Pan #‎sweetcreations‬

This post is Sponsored by Good Cook but my opinions are 100% my own! When you're a mom, you need to find fun ways to make kids want to eat certain foods.   But if you only do it with the foods they don't want to eat, they will eventually catch on.  So why not make even the foods they like to eat fun!  Okay so where am I going with all of this? Sweet Creations by Good Cook has this great pan called a Bake-A-Bowl that you can use for so many things - for sweets, treats or meals the sky is the limit.  It's a pan that can essentially turn anything into a baked bowl!    It's two pieces - a top and a bottom.  You spray the bottom with cooking spray then pour or press your 'batter' to make the...

Find all the Ingredients for Meatless Meals at BJ’s Wholesale Club

Find all the Ingredients for Meatless Meals at BJ’s Wholesale Club

We try to eat a meatless meal at least once a week.  The reason we do this is to cut down on our grocery bill and to try and get more veggies and whole grains into our diets.  Most of the time our meatless meals consist of pasta but there are so many other ways to do this, I just always seem to fall back on the regular ideas! BJ's Wholesale Club sells everything you need for all your meals each week, including meatless meals.  Their produce department is even bigger than their meat department!  Some items you do have to purchase in bulk packages but not everything. I'm always looking for a new veggie side dish recipe so I was happy to see this one from the Bjs.com website..... [print_this]...

Hood Sour Cream makes Comfort Food even Better {recipe} #Sponsored

Hood Sour Cream makes Comfort Food even Better {recipe} #Sponsored

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Hood. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. It's been really cold here on the East Coast and I'm counting the days until Summer.  We all need to get out of the house more and moving!  During the winter months we all tend to snack more on the food we shouldn't be eating and by this time of the year we all start feeling it.   The first thing my kids do when they walk in the door after school is ask for a snack!  If the weather was nicer outside, then they'd be playing out there instead of snacking. So when Hood asked me to use Hood Sour Cream in a comfort...

Christmas Tree Veggie Platter

Christmas Tree Veggie Platter

Last weekend we went caroling with some friends in our neighborhood.  It was so much fun!  This was the 2nd year we did it and the kids are excited to do it again next year.  We live in such a wonderful neighborhood and it's perfect for caroling. After we caroled, we gathered at a neighbor's house and had some hot chocolate and pizza!  Nothing better than that after being in the cold for an hour! (It was freezing!).  I brought a veggie dish that I crafted into a Christmas Tree.  It was super easy to make, especially since I had a tray shaped like a tree, and I had a lot of fun putting it together.  And of course it looked great on the table! I used broccoli as the tree.  When I arranged...

Good Cook Mini Loaf Pan & Cranberry Bread #SweetCreations

This post is Sponsored by Good Cook but my opinions are 100% my own! My girls love sweets just like I do so they are always happy when I make something new.  A few weeks ago I made some Cranberry Bread and they LOVED it!  So they asked me to make it again.   Since I had the Good Cook Mini Loaf Pan, I figured I could make 4 mini loaves and freeze the other 3 so I could pull it out of the freezer when they wanted more!  And since these are made with fresh cranberries, I don't mind serving it to them.  Plus it's a yummy, quick breakfast on a busy morning. Good Cook sent me the mini loaf pan along with some fun holiday parchment paper. I love this mini loaf pan.  It's nonstick and my...

I'm so excited to share with you these Mini Ham & Cheese Omelets which I made with our Thanksgiving Leftovers and my Good Cook products.    But first I have to share with you our Thanksgiving.  It wasn't our normal holiday, we spent it a little different this year. Thanksgiving is over!  Yup, just like that it's done.  All that planning, all that cooking, it is all over and now we all have a fridge full of leftovers.   Well, we don't actually have a fridge full of leftovers because we didn't have a very big Thanksgiving.  That wasn't the plan, but that's what happened. Two weeks ago my family and I went on a lovely...

Back To School with Thomas’ and some Fun Recipes for The Whole Family

Back To School with Thomas’ and some Fun Recipes for The Whole Family

This post is Sponsored by Thomas' but my opinions are 100% my own! Thomas' has some great products to help with the crazy back to school time!  I've been a fan of Thomas' ever since I was a kid.  There may be other brands out there that are good, but in my book Thomas' really are the best.  I was very happy when they introduced bagels a long time ago, and I love how they keep mixing things up with new flavors and varieties. The girls enjoy bagels for breakfast a few times a week so I like to keep them in the freezer.   When they are frozen, I pop them in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds which is just enough to be able to pull the two slices a part, and then I put them in the toaster. ...
