Sugar Cookie Cutout, Peanut Butter Cup Cookies and Cinnamon Bites with Great Value Brand Products

Sugar Cookie Cutout, Peanut Butter Cup Cookies and Cinnamon Bites with Great Value Brand Products

As I told you last week, I love to bake for the holidays and I bake a LOT!   I was challenged to use some Great Value brand items in my baking this year so I did things a little differently.  I not only saved time but money as well because Great Value brand products, which are found at Walmart, have a much better price point then the name brands. I was asked to use the Great Value Cinnamon Rolls and Great Value refrigerated cookie dough in my recipes.  Here is what I made... Cinnamon Roll Breakfast Bites with Cinnamon Chips!! My family loves anything cinnamon and with all the excitement of Christmas morning they won't have to sit for breakfast because instead they can eat these yummy...

Baking for the Holidays with Great Value Brand Products

Baking for the Holidays with Great Value Brand Products

I love to bake for the holidays, and I bake a LOT!  I've been doing this now for the past 11 years and I think everyone in my family looks forward to my cookies.  I even send my best friend in New Hampshire a cookie dish every year and she looks forward to receiving that package of goodies in the mail.  I'm so happy everyone enjoys my holiday cookies because some years it's a struggle to get them done. Just to remind you Great Value is the store brand for Walmart. They are actually part of the Ralcorp company which makes and distributes store brand refrigerated dough items for Walmart and lots of other stores. I've used their products in the past but this challenge made me make a few things I haven't made before! This past weekend I invited a few people over for dinner and made some of the recipes. I could have made the dough from scratch but who has time for...

Kikkoman Soy Sauce Ice Cream Recipe

Kikkoman Soy Sauce Ice Cream Recipe Yes you read that right, the title of this post is Soy Sauce Ice Cream!  Crazy right?  While at BlogHer in NYC this month, Kikkoman had for our tasting pleasure, some Soy Sauce Ice Cream.  They don't make it normally, they just had it for the booth which I thought was pretty neat.  However I didn't try it, I just couldn't fathom the idea of it but I heard it was pretty good. They sent me the recipe that they used and I thought it might be fun to share it with you all today.  So if you try it, let me know what you think.  They said most people told them "it tastes like salted caramel".   Interesting!! SOY SAUCE ICE CREAM Ingredients 3 eggs, separated 5 ...
