I’m heading to LA For another Red Carpet Event and So Much MORE #MillionDollarArmEvent, #ABCTVEvent and #StarWarsRebelsEvent

Disclosure: This post is part of an all expenses paid press trip to Los Angeles that I will be taking in May which is provided by Disney.  All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.  All giggles and squeals will also belong to me while attending these events in LA! I'm so excited to share with you that next month I will be heading to Los Angeles from Sunday, May 4th – Wednesday, May 7th to attend the red carpet premiere of MILLION DOLLAR ARM which is  opening in theaters on May 16th!!!  You may recall my first Red Carpet experience last August which was absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G..... And I'm so excited to be able to do it again.  I was afraid I may have been too star struck to be invited...

A Look Inside the Disney Animation Research Library (ARL) and the Disney Vault

Disclosure: This event and trip to LA was an all expense paid journey sponsored by Disney.  All thoughts, experiences are 100% my own! As you already know, in August I spent a few days in Los Angeles California on a media event.  I saw the premiere of Disney's PLANES and had some other fun adventures.   One of those including taking a trip to the Disney Animation Research Library (ARL) and the Vault!   It's location is so top-secret that they had to blind fold us so we didn't know where we were going.... OK no they really didn't do that however I think they drove around in circles so we couldn't find our way there on our own.  LOL Photo Credit: ©Disney Why is this place such a secret? ...

Interview with John Muskar and Ron Clements, The Little Mermaid Writers and Directors #LittleMermaidEvent

Disclosure: This event and trip to LA was an all expense paid journey sponsored by Disney.  All thoughts, experiences are 100% my own! Interview with John Muskar and Ron Clements, Writers and Directors of The Little Mermaid While in Los Angles this summer to attend the Planes Premiere, I also had a chance to meet with the writers and directors of The Little Mermaid - John Muskar and Ron Clements.   They are both really great, down to earth guys and you'd think they'd be otherwise because of the success of The Little Mermaid.  But I think they might still be a little bit in awe of how well it's done and that it's still so popular 20 years later!   As I've mentioned before The Little...

Super Buddies DVD Review and Meeting Rosebud in Los Angeles #SuperBuddies

Disclosure: This event and trip to LA was an all expense paid journey sponsored by Disney.  All thoughts, experiences are 100% my own! While in Los Angles earlier this month to attend the Planes Premiere, I also had a chance to meet Rosebud from the NEW Super Buddies, take a picture with her and talk with Ray, one of  Rosebud's trainers.  The dog we met is actually Cooper and is a boy.  They go more by the color of the dog for each part then whether it's a boy or a girl.  That part really doesn't matter in Hollywood.   I found our meeting with them pretty interesting and I learned a lot about working with dogs. We love all the buddies movies but I never really thought about how hard it...

A Visit to The ALDI Headquarters in Chicago

I’ve been shopping at ALDI on and off now for about a year.  My mother has been shopping there religiously for a few years now and tells everyone she knows that they have to shop at ALDI.  She is the one that got me to go there in the first place and now that I live closer to many of them, I go more.  However I still have to drive by a few traditional grocery stores so many times I stop at those stores for lack of saving time. However, since my visit last month to the ALDI headquarters in Chicago, I find myself driving by the traditional stores more often and shopping at ALDI instead.  What changed my mind?  Learning more about the company and seeing the savings and value first hand, made...

With the soon to be released Little Mermaid Diamond Edition DVD (10/1/13) comes, of course some new Little Mermaid products and while I was in LA last week I saw a sneak peek of some of the adorable products that you will soon be able to get your hands on!  The first night there we were invited to a Little Mermaid Consumer products dinner.   Try to vision a bunch of bloggers, all dressed up walking into a room that looked like we were underwater!  It was the coolest and prettiest thing ever.   As we all walked through the doors you could hear the collective...

Disney Planes Flies into Theaters Today August 9, 2013 | Planes Movie Review If you are looking for something fun to do with the little ones this weekend how about taking them to see the new Disney Planes movie that opens in theaters today, August 9, 2013.   You may have read my post the other day about how I attended the premiere of Disney Planes in Los Angeles California on Monday night.  I had an amazing time at the pre-party and if you missed it you can read it all here. As much fun as that was, we were really all there to see the movie for the first time and I was so excited because it was playing at the El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Blvd.  This is a famous theater that shows a lot...

Walking the Red Carpet at #DisneyPlanesPremiere

Photo credit: Disney Disclosure: This event and trip to LA was an all expense paid journey sponsored by Disney.  All thoughts, experiences are 100% my own! I haven’t slept much in the last 24 hours.  I took the red eye from Los Angeles to Rhode Island and didn’t get home until 10:30 am this morning.  But it was all for a good reason!  You may remember I told you recently I was heading to Los Angeles for the premiere of Planes... you may have seen some tweets over the past couple of days from there as well as posts on Facebook.  It was an amazing few days and I still can not believe that just a few nights ago I was in Los Angeles and I walked the red carpet for the premiere of Planes.  It...

My Thoughts on #BlogHer13 in Chicago

My Thoughts on #BlogHer13 in Chicago

Last week I attended my 4th BlogHer conference since I started blogging.  This month marks 5 years for my blog so I'm super excited about that milestone.  I love attending the BlogHer conference and was happy that CVS/Pharmacy sponsored my trip so I could go once again.  (Thanks CVS!!!).   Trips are a huge perk to blogging and I think I've earned them after all the long hours I pour into my blog.  I don't think anyone realizes how much work goes into a blog.  I write every single day (except Christmas Day!). This year it was held in Chicago and the layout was different because the hotel (Sheratan) and convention center (McCormick Place) were not in the same place.  However they did provide...

I’m heading to the #DisneyPlanesPremiere and #LittleMermaidEvent in Los Angeles

I love having children because it gives me a good excuse to enjoy things that otherwise I may not be able to.  Like for instance Disney movies and products.  Of course I can go see any movie I want to see, but to experience the fun of a Disney movie with my kids is so much more fun.  To hear them giggle and talk about it after the movie is over, makes it that much more fun. The girls and I have been anxiously waiting for Planes to come to theaters next month.  They are counting down the days and keep asking me "are we going to go see it?".  Yes, they loved CARS and are looking forward to PLANES even though they are girls. On that note, I was even more excited when I received an invitation...

Heading to BlogHer in Chicago This Week

One of the fun parts of my job is I get to travel a few times a year.  Either to visit a company’s headquarters or to attend a conference.  It was a few years after I started blogging before I was invited anywhere or even attended a conference because no one knew who I was!  But the more I stuck around, the more people knew me and then I started getting invites, and had a reason to attend a conference. Today I am heading to downtown Chicago for my annual trip to the BlogHer Conference.    I love going to this conference because I am able to meet face to face with brands and PR reps I’ve worked with, bloggers I’ve never met before and I also get to see old friends and make new ones.   When...

Krispy Kreme Blogger Summit: The Total Sensory Experience & A Giveaway (ends 2/25)

Last month I, along with 13 other bloggers, was invited to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to visit the Krispy Kreme World Headquarters, and this doughnut and coffee-loving blogger couldn't have been happier!!!   My trip was full of excitement from when I woke up at 4 am to head to the airport and it was snowing out!  Since we get snow here often enough, I didn't expect a delay at the airport. Boy, I was wrong, very wrong! I was supposed to arrive in Greensboro North Carolina at 10:30 in plenty of time to be able to settle in, blog a bit and have some lunch with friends before the festivities began.  But that's not how my morning went.  Traveling is always fun but this by far my most "fun"...

FREE Storia Reading App and Scholastic Breakfast at BlogHer

While in NYC last week for BlogHer, I was invited to the Scholastic headquarters for breakfast and a presentation of a new app they have to help kids with reading.  I received the invite last-minute because a spot opened up so I didn't have a chance to play with it before the breakfast so it was all new to me. And I loved it! It's called Storia, it's FREE and it's available for download on the iPad and on PC.  That's all for now but they are working on other devices soon.  You also get 5 FREE books when you download it.  You don't get to choose the books - everyone gets the same 5 but they are good books and my girls have been enjoying them this week. You can then purchase more books from...

Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies at Trumpeting Media Event at BlogHer

Each year I attend BlogHer in August.  Well at least for the past 3 years I have.  It's a great opportunity to meet with other blogger's I've either worked with or admired from afar and a fantastic opportunity to connect with the brands or brand reps I've worked with or want to work with.  Because I've been blogging for 4 years now, I know a lot of them already but haven't met them all in person just yet. This trip I was able to meet some representatives from Pepperidge Farm at the Trumpeting Media Event that I attended on Thursday morning during my 5 days in NYC.  This is one company I haven't worked with yet and I hope to begin working with soon!  I was very excited to see them as it was...

Energizer Flameless Wax Candles at BlogHer

I've worked with the gal from Energizer a few times on some giveaways on the blog so I was super excited to get to meet her in person at BlogHer last week in NYC.  While I was there I got a peek at the NEW Energizer Flameless Wax Candles and they are super cool. They look, feel and smell like real candles but they aren't - they run on batteries (Energizer batteries work the best, I'm told!).  So if you don't like to light candles because you are afraid of the flame or you have children or in my case a husband who doesn't like flames, then these are for you. Don't they look like real candles in this picture??  -------------> That is how they had them on display for us at the conference...
